Xchange-Platform – interchange of sensitive data

Our product "Xchange-Platform" - the exchange platform – as a part of your central infrastructure enables the exchange of messages, data, documents and files via various channels and interfaces. This exchange can take place between different specialized applications within an authority and between different government agencies.

The "Xchange Platform" can be easily integrated into many environments and functions as a central data hub. The solution integrates the role and rights model and various applications. This makes it easy to control who has access to what information and in what form. 

The platform acts as a central data hub and can receive information and messages from external and internal systems, as well as from partners. The rights and role model ensures that the information is passed on correctly and securely.

Different interface methods and standard formats (especially eCH formats) are supported and updated as part of product maintenance. Data transmission is secure and includes encryption and decryption. Data is validated according to standardized formats and process-specific rules. Data exchange processes and cross-organizational workflows can be mapped in this way.

In a technical sense, the exchange platform monitors the status of the message, which can be viewed via a monitor. The system monitor shows the status of the interfaces and the associated current information (time of last transmission, number of transmissions in the last hour, the last 24 hours). The interfaces can also be started and stopped via the system monitor and it is possible to query the status of the individual interface components. In addition, error logs and transmission errors can be viewed and messages that have not been sent can be resent manually.

In the application itself, the user can see if a request (or another message) is blocked due to an error in the communication with a partner system (i.e. due to a malfunction on an interface). Due to the standardized connection via the "Xchange-Platform", the entire communication path in the workflow of a message is monitored. This is done through corresponding acknowledgements from and to the peripheral systems, which are monitored in the "Xchange-Platform".

The Xchange-Platform was fundamentally developed for the transmission of sensitive data, documents and files. It has numerous functions for the secure management of related messages, ensures the operation of cross-organizational processes and the transmission to authorized recipients through its central subscriber directory, encrypts and decrypts sent data and documents and guarantees their integrity.

In addition, the platform ensures the following functions:

• Verification and, where necessary, reformatting of structured content.
• Mapping of codes (adaptation of country codes from ISO2 to ISO3)
• Receiving and sending data via mail, web service (as provider / as consumer), file transfer or Sedex adapter
• Receiving and delivering data via dedicated interfaces
